Countless viewers and supporters have told us that seeing the film Kilowatt Ours has inspired them to make positive changes.  The film is an excellent tool to help educate people about the negative consequences of our current energy profile, and more importantly it is a message of hope that inspires people to take action in their own lives and communities. 

 

This is why the Kilowatt Ours screening program is so important.  We offer support for people who are interested in hosting a screening in their community to help bring the message to a larger number of people.  We invite you to join us.  Here are some ideas for screenings you might consider: 

 

  • At public libraries
  • In conjunction with a local theater or museum 
  • In your church
  • At the office 
  • For groups & organizations you belong to including environmental groups, social and networking groups, chambers of commerce, and more.  
  • With friends and family
  • For legislators
  • At environmental conferences and gatherings
  • In schools for students and teachers

These are just a few ideas of how you might wish to use the film Kilowatt Ours.  We have a special Youth Initiative program for schools & educational institutions, with more information here.  For all other screenings, Kilowatt Ours has a Screenings program which offers the following support:

 

  • A public performance license giving you permission to show the film
  • Promotional Materials including the following:

    • A Press Release
    • Sign up sheets
    • Donation Request forms

    • Coming Soon: Sell Kilowatt Ours DVDs and Tshirts at your event to raise money for your organization. 
  • Promotion of your public event on the Kilowatt Ours website. 
  • A curriculum with additional resources and activities you may include in your event. 
  • Kilowatt Ours’ Screening Manager, who can answer your many questions about hosting a community or home screening. 
  • An online forum where you can share ideas and success stories with others who have hosted screenings.
