Neighborhood Program
Neighborhood Program
Kilowatt Ours Neighborhood Initiative is designed to bring hands-on energy savings practices into communities. This program involves Nashville neighborhood associations, and community and civic organizations in film screenings, workshops on home energy savings and peer-to-peer education, with a special emphasis on low-income communities.
With the support of a grant from World Wildlife Fund, Kilowatt Ours is also piloting a study in Nashville, TN in collaboration with Vanderbilt University. The purpose is to determine the impact of an energy savings initiative in a neighborhood community. The study will help Kilowatt Ours to refine our Neighborhood Initiative so it can be easily replicated in communities across the country. Kilowatt Ours hopes to expand our research study in Nashville and other targeted communities.
